Creative people, in my opinion, are by their very nature, divinely inspired. Creativity is an act of worship. In my mind, it doesn't matter if the artist believes in God or not. There is a connection with the divine spark and the divine inside us. It's spiritual and physical. Artists touched by inspiration also touch the face of God.

Marketing is hard! Marketing is the other side of my artistic coin. I spend a lot of time and treasure on my art and then even more to market my creative vision. Some days, like today, it's all I do. There are stretches of time where marketing keeps me awake nights. I mull over new ideas and rehash old disasters and try to retain lessons from them. I owe a lot to marketing. It's the oil that keeps my projects moving along. Although, at least for me, it's hard to do I think it really is vital to any artist.

Ever since I was little, like four or five years old, I have created my own imaginary space. I would draw cowboys and horses because that filled the scope of my imagination at the time. I really liked my pictures. I still do. As I grew I got interested in comic books. My mom would only let me have Superman or Batman in the house. I was in awe of that wonderful universe with great anatomy and splashy design. I wanted a world where good triumphed over evil. Those by-gone comic book artists created their own worlds.
